Sichuan Bloody Mahjong Fix

If you look at the rules and guides for playing Sichuan Bloody Mahjong (Bloody Battle to the End), you’ll find almost every single one of them has incorrect information. Perhaps this is because of a translation error, or because they all copy each other, but it is surprising how many versions are not correct.

All you need to do is some simple math.

Most of them start by saying “SBM only uses the three suits, 108 tiles total.” They then say that the dealer builds a wall of 14×2 tiles and all other players build 13×2.

14×2 = 28, 13×2 = 26 x 3 =78 + 28 =106.

Yeah. You will always have 2 tiles left over if you follow the online guides.

As near as I can tell, the optimal (possibly official) way to build the walls for SBM is to have East (dealer) and West (opposite) build 14×2 walls, N & S build 13×2 walls. Problem solved!
